Tips for a winning video!

In life there are always some rules. And as much as we don’t want WowTown.com to feel like you are still at school there are a few guidelines that we ask you follow when making your videos.

Your video must feature a toy or game. It doesn’t matter who makes the product as long as it’s something you can have fun with!
We need to be sure the video was created by a kid so if possible try and feature yourself in the video, even if it’s just a quick hello to the camera!
Don’t say your name or give away any personal information. We’d like you to keep your identity a secret – think of yourself as a superhero!
No swearing or rude gestures. It’s not cool to be crude!
Keep it short and sweet. If there is lots of waiting time at the start or if you forgot to switch the camera off at the end we may trim your video for you. Don’t worry; we won’t cut out any of the good stuff!
Try to wear clothes without many famous logos on them. Sometimes companies don’t like their name being on videos and may ask us to remove it. You can help us by making sure there aren’t many logos featured in your videos.
We don’t mind you playing music on your video but if you can use music that not many people would recognize that would be great! Like the logos, some music companies may ask us to take your video off WowTown.com if they aren’t happy with the video featuring their music.
Keep the camera landscape. Make sure that if you are filming on a camera phone that you have it the right way round. Your video will look much better this way!
Make sure that anyone in your video is happy for you to send it into WowTown.com and please don’t film anyone without their permission.
Watch it back. This might sound obvious but you’ll be amazed how many people don't watch their video before submitting. This means that if something went wrong you can re-do it again before it’s too late!
The most important one of all. HAVE FUN!
